Project background

Totally Minted Theatre is the bringing together of artworks created by the Xchange Channel project initiated by Artlink Edinburgh and the Lothians in 2005 with the support of West Lothian Council. The Xchange Channel project was a cross generational project involving young people from the Chill Out Zone in Bathgate and older people from Whitdale House residential care home in East Whitburn. The project was based on exploring shared interests among participants - be it in the arts, a specific skill, a common experience or a fiction and brought together in a series of filmed and animation pieces. The culmination of the project was a Variety performance and screening of the artwork at the Regal Theatre in Bathgate.
